Mention French food, and Le Bouchon comes to mind, not least because it has become the stalwart of French cuisine in KL. The rustic, deliberately provincial mood of the decor perfectly juxtaposes the unpretentious but always satisfying cuisine. Highlights include the homemade terrines and duck confit but since serving sizes are generous, sweet-toothed diners are advised not to over-indulge before the finishing line is in sight. An excellent, predominantly French wine menu provides a perfect counterpart to the food. Bon appetit!
